Design
The design phase is an exciting stage of the creation of your beautiful backyard that calls on your dreams and our inspiration and creativity. We like to visit you and take our time to listen to you describe your vision: learn how you plan to use your new outdoor space and who you expect to enjoy it. We listen, but we also bring decades of experience and lots of creative ideas to the table too; together we build a picture of how your backyard makeover will look.
Azuro then takes that picture back to our offices and produces drawings that we review and revise together to produce a professional 3D rendering of your backyard design and a video, so you can really get a feel for how it will work. We recommend you take your time to review it and get used to it. In our world there is always time for modifications, during the planning and build stages; we are open to working with you on all your ideas and requests.
Once you’re happy with the layout, our engineers review our formal drawings to ensure the design adheres to building codes and regulations, and if required we apply for building permits (always required for swimming pools and reinforced walls).
Demolition and Excavation
Our Azuro professional team has done this dozens of times, and we do it most efficiently.
First we remove plants you wish to keep and store them in a nursery, so they can be replanted at the end of the project. We remove any existing structures and concrete work that will no longer be required using heavy equipment. Bins are brought daily to your site and removed at the end of every day.
The Azuro crew is vigilant about keeping your backyard tidy and ensuring minimal impact to your daily lives. When we are done, your backyard worksite is clean and ready for the construction phase.
Construction
Adhering rigorously to the plan for your custom designed backyard, we set about forming walls, building in ground work (sewers, irrigation, electricity, gas and water delivery).
Pouring and forming concrete is a process Azuro has perfected, and every facet is hand polished and redefined to ensure your personal comfort and safety. We are qualified in shotcrete construction for decorate and uniquely shaped structures.
Your custom backyard will take shape and come to life as we hook up electricity, water, irrigation systems and start planting.
Quality Control
No project is complete until all the fine details are checked and approved. Azuro tests every feature of your beautiful backyard to ensure optimum operation. We recommend low maintenance systems and take the time to train you and your family members on how to operate your systems (water features, lighting, irrigation, outdoor kitchen etc.). And we help you choose a maintenance provider to keep your investment in tip-top shape.
